Owned by the London Borough of Hillingdon, the 22 acre site at Manor Farm has been converted into a Heritage Centre in the heart of Ruislip. Work included the restoration of the C13th Grade II* Great Barn, considered to be one of the largest and most outstanding early timber framed aisled barns in South East England.
The C15th Manor Farm House and the Little Barn circa 1600 have also undergone sensitive repair and restoration with improved access for all.
The Manor Farm complex forms a vibrant facility including a thriving library, performance hall, interpretation centre, craft workshops and community café. We have preserved and disseminated the heritage value of the site, increasing its role as a local community attraction.
Acting in the role of Lead Consultant WWADP directly engaged other conservation specialists and worked closely with English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund whose grant assistance was crucial to deliver the project.
The project was awarded Bronze in the international Green Apple awards which recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world.
