The project involved the conversion of a redundant Coach house into a private library for our client who has a large private collection of books including many antiquarian examples.
The works involved the removal of all internal walls and garaging to create a single large space. The existing first floor accommodation was also removed allowing the main part of the library to be a double height space. Towards the northern end of the building a mezzanine floor was inserted accessed off a spiral staircase which provides space for a digital and AV suite for the owner.
Natural wood floors and low voltage lighting combine with built in bookstacks to create a delightful character to this stunning conversion.
