This contemporary three storey dwelling located within Oxford’s Green Belt sits on a plot previously occupied by a nondescript 1960’s house that was demolished to make way for the new design.
A timber framed solution was chosen for speed of erection, clad externally with a combination of render and cedar boarding. Powder coated aluminium windows and natural wood flooring create a contemporary style for the house whist at the same time offering a traditional pitched roofed solution within which are a series of attic rooms offering far reaching views over surrounding countryside.
This style of dwelling combines traditional and contemporary design ideas and utilises modern prefabricated methods of construction to speed up the building process and improve thermal performance.
Haeremai continues the practice’s tradition of designing bespoke one off houses to the specific and individual requirements of each client.
