For larger development projects an Environmental Statement may be required, or the local planning authority may ask for a ‘screening opinion’ to assess whether a Statement should be produced.

The purpose of such an assessment is to identify significant environmental impacts of development projects.

The skill in producing an Environmental Statement is in co-ordinating a team of specialists and combining their work to provide a robust Statement that achieves the legislative requirements. At West Waddy ADP we have these skills in-house.

Local Authority clients will be aware that if they receive an Environmental Statement with a planning application a formal review of the submission is an important stage in the process.

West Waddy ADP can assist Local Planning Authorities by undertaking an independent review using the most up to date review methodology.
